howdy y'all.

Ok. This is the first post. (Duh.) The point is to get a discussion going as to what we're (maybe) doing this summer. The tentative dates are July 19-Aug 1st, 2009. Our current route will be: 

Collegedale, TN -- Newark Valley, NY (Gpa Raney's) -- Union Springs, NY -- Queensbury, NY (Aunt Janice's) -- Freeport, ME -- Collegedale, TN.

Obviously this will be longer for Kristina and I, as we'll be making the trip down to Tennessee before and after. But that's the idea. We're thinking we spend the night and the following day in each place, making the trip about 2 weeks. 

As for a place to stay, we basically just need to find places in Union Springs & in Freeport. Any ideas? Do we want to stay in hotels, or look for people to stay with? Also... do we just want to visit around, or actually do a little sight-seeing/shopping while in any of these places?

ROBBY COMMENTED: I think we should stay in hotels in both Union Springs and Freeport, and we should just kinda sight=see... There's not much else we could do...I wouldn't feel comfortable going and meeting people that knew me when...

AMANDA COMMENTED: I agree. Especially for Freeport. I want to do some fun sightseeing there. But it would be nice if we could go to church there in Freeport... see many of the people who knew us when... :P But just see them. Not stay w/ them. Cause you're right. That'd be kinda weird.
